  • Do we need to get permits?

Permits are sometimes required by local municipalities and cities. If you would like to remove a tree that is on an easement on your property then you will definitely need to pull a permit. This is usually in communities with sidewalks where trees are between the sidewalk and the street

  • If a tree needs to be taken down, will my property be safe?

All trees and stumps are removed without causing damage to the property. We use roping techniques or lifts to safely remove the trees and have Miss Dig mark the area around the stumps to ensure no underground damage is done. Any non municipal underground utilities will need to be marked or identified by the customer. These usually include sprinkler lines, invisible fences, underground PVC french drains being the most common.

  • I am worried a tree is too close to my property and may fall in a storm, can you give me a risk assessment?

Absolutely we can give a risk assessment and that is an important part of our business. Keeping trees trimmed is the number one way to keep expensive repairs from happening.

  • I think my tree is dead, should I have you take it down?

Dead trees are dangerous on any property, they have a tendency to rot faster in different areas and make them unpredictable, the longer you wait to remove, the more difficult and dangerous the removal becomes which will add to cost and the risk of property damage.

  • I think my tree is dying, can you save it?

We do not offer services to inject trees to revive them.

  • Do I need to be home when the estimate is given?

You do not need to be home when the estimate is given, usually we will ask for a photo, description or have you mark trees needed for removal or trimming we then can give written estimates

  • What season is best for tree service?

We are an all season company and work in all conditions. Often winter is best for trimming and removals.

  • How deep do you grind stumps?

We grind stumps to the depth needed for the project, for instance if it is a stump in a yard where grass will be planted in the spot we generally grind 6-10 inches deep as a standard service. If you are replanting in the same area and need a full removal we can grind up to 2 feet deep and have done hundreds of jobs where we grind and plant in the same area. (move this up the list maybe 1 or 2)
